The Atlas UV LED 1/2″ 15L/min is the ideal unit for the elimination of germs and microorganisms from water supplied by UV-C radiation. Key features of the Atlas UV LED 15 L/min model include: Treats up to 15 litres of water per minute. Flow-activated: the UV LEDs switch on automatically when water is flowing (above the activation threshold) and switch off when the flow stops, saving energy and extending LED life. Uses 17 W of power. LED life of around 3,000 hours. Standard ½-inch BSP plumbing connections. Suitable for use after a sediment filter or reverse osmosis system. Like all UV sterilisers, it: Kills or inactivates microorganisms. Does not remove sediment, chlorine, chemicals, heavy metals, or dissolved minerals. Will not work effectively on cloudy or dirty water, so pre-filtration is recommended. If you’re deciding between the 7 L/min and 15 L/min models, the 15 L/min version is the better choice if you expect two taps to be used at once or have a higher water demand. For a single drinking-water tap, the 7 L/min unit is usually sufficient.
