This battery door cover/lid does fit my Nikon D300 as advertised, however, the lid is designed slightly differently compared to the original cover (the sealing gasket around the cover may be thicker). This difference results in one needing to take added care in making sure the lid seats completely when closing the battery compartment; it takes a bit more pressure to be certain that the plastic latch in the cover is manually fully engaged, as it does not automatically seat while pressing the lid into position. Otherwise, this appears to be an acceptable replacement. The finish is more glossy in appearance compared to the satin paint finish of the camera.
